Description: The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a website created by the English department at Indiana's Purdue University.  OWL provides writing support and assistance to students, faculty, and outsiders looking for help crafting the perfect essay.  This site includes formatting guides for various styles such as MLA, APA, and Chicago Style.  It clearly demonstrates the proper citations and reference method practices for all types of sources (both in paper form and in electronic form).  As a result, it is useful to students, teachers, professors, and other scholars in all academic disciplines.  OWL also provides guidelines for developing various types of writing products, such as guidelines for writing essays, business letters, developing a resume, and offers tips on how to avoid plagiarism in your work.      

Uses/Usefulness: This site would be very useful to educators in all subject areas.  The MLA and APA style outlines would assist students and teachers in multiple subject areas.  This site would also be extremely beneficial to social studies teachers, as the Chicago Style section of the site could be used by students to cite their research paper citations properly.  This website would be extremely useful to social studies teachers as well, as it would provide them with a framework for teaching proper citation techniques to their students.  Students and professors at the college level would find this site equally useful as they would be working together to create and edit students' history term papers at their respective universities.  The search bar is also extremely useful to visitors who are having trouble locating a specific topic of interest throughout the website.  

Quality:  This site has an excellent layout, provides adequate colors to keep the viewer interested, and provides an ample number of links to provide its visitors with other examples of proper citation.
